San Diego-based Reliable Property Management Services is excited to announce the addition of Liberty Station Community Association to its portfolio. The historic district in Point Loma showcases some of San Diego’s finest restaurants, artisans, and boutique shops.
Originally known as the Naval Training Center, Liberty Station opened its doors in 1923 and continued to expand through World War II. Though it served as a valuable military resource for many decades, the Navy eventually closed the NTC in 1997. The city of San Diego acquired the property in 2000 and gradually transitioned Liberty Station into a center of commerce and cultural activity.
Encompassing over 361 acres, Liberty Station is home to over 30 restaurants, multiple art galleries, a movie theater, and Liberty Public Market, a unique marketplace experience where San Diegans can enjoy handcrafted food and specialty goods. Offering free outdoor movies in the summer and an ice rink in the winter, Liberty Station is quickly becoming a cornerstone of the San Diego community.
John Farizell, CEO of RPMS, first discovered Liberty Station as a spot to spend time with his family on the weekend. “It’s such a unique area because there’s literally something for everyone. Whether you’re looking for live music, good food, or just a cool place to walk around, you’ll find it here.”
With everything from Pilates studios to a comic book shop, Liberty Station is a space that was designed with the community in mind. Special events and art installations provide San Diego residents with rich cultural experiences, while sophisticated boutiques offer curated artisanal goods.
